Offering excellent adhesion with a slightly lower melting point to protect fragile minerals from thermal shock.

Technical Specifications

Usage Guidelines

• Gently warm both the stone preform and the dop stick at low heat to prevent thermal shock.
• Melt a small amount of red wax in a dop pot or with a low alcohol flame onto the head of the dop stick.
• Gently press the stone into the molten wax and shape a smooth collar around the base.
• Let the wax cool completely before beginning water-cooled grinding or polishing.
• To release, chill the stone in ice water or freezer for 10 minutes, or dissolve residual wax in isopropyl alcohol.
