Their flexibility allows them to conform to both flat and contoured surfaces, making these pads ideal for cabochon pre-polishing, edge smoothing, and detailed artistic surface refinement.
Unlike standard diamond discs or diamond buffer pads these smoothing pads eliminate pits and scratches quickly. This ensures a faster workflow with consistent results, ideal for both hobbyists and professionals. Whether refining cabbed gemstones or shaping delicate glasseye sculptures, they leave surfaces nearly ready for final polishing—often without additional diamond polishing paste.
These Smoothing Pre-polishing Pads are compatible with Hook & Loop (Velcro), PSA (pressure-sensitive adhesive), and magnetic backings. This ensures universal compatibility with most lapidary and flat lap machines, including Hi-Tech diamond flat lap setups, lapidary pads, and diamond faceting laps. Available in grits from 60 to 50,000 and sizes from 4" to 24", these pads support both aggressive material removal and ultra-fine smoothing.
