Overview: The 820mm x 40mm Flexible Diamond Sanding Belt (approx. 32-1/4" length x 1-9/16" width) is engineered for specialized handheld pipe polishers, wrap-around tube sanders, and benchtop slack-belt grinders. High-purity electroplated industrial diamond crystals firmly secured in an open-pattern configuration on a high-tensile waterproof backing deliver aggressive cutting speed, cool wet running, and remarkable flex life across extra-hard mineral and technical surfaces.
Key Features
- Full Range of Grits & Patterns: Available in Dot and Arrow patterns from coarse 60 Grit calibration down to 1800 Grit ultra-fine pre-polishing.
- Custom 820mm x 40mm Dimensions: Perfectly matches wrap-around tube polishers and multi-pulley sanders for 360-degree pipe and cylinder finishing.
- Flexible Tear-Resistant Backing: Bends effortlessly around curved contours without delaminating, cracking, or stretching under continuous wet operation.
- Engineered Low-Profile Seam: Smooth butt splice eliminates seam chatter and delivers non-marking, vibration-free tracking at high operating speeds.
Applications
- Tube, pipe, and cylindrical glass grinding, rim arrising, and glass bevel leveling
- Lapidary gemstone rough dimensioning, cabochon smoothing, and pre-polish prep
- Ceramic edge leveling, tile trimming, and porcelain contour shaping
- Thermal spray coating finishing, titanium and superalloy weld dressing, and deburring
Operating Guidelines
- Coolant: Use with continuous water mist or coolant spray when feasible to prevent diamond thermal wear and clear swarf.
- Tension & Tracking: Ensure proper tracking and moderate tension before applying grinding pressure.
- Speed: Recommended surface speed 2,500 to 5,000 SFPM.
